Mission Project

A healthy church within walking distance of every African
Across Kenya, revival is spreading. People are coming to faith, churches are being planted, and lives are being transformed. But for over 400 Kenyan Assemblies of God churches, there is still no permanent place to gather.
Instead of meeting in buildings, these congregations gather under trees, braving harsh weather—rain, extreme heat, and flooding—just to worship together. Without a structure, many communities see these churches as temporary, illegitimate, or even cults, making it harder for the gospel to take root.
AGWM Project #: 11095
Yet, in every village where these churches stand—whether under a tree or in a simple structure—God is moving.
The Kenyan Assemblies of God is working to build churches where they are desperately needed. But they cannot do it alone. Partnership is essential to provide these congregations with permanent places of worship—places that will be seen as a beacon of hope for generations to come.

A church building is more than just walls—it’s a declaration that the gospel has taken root. It provides stability for pastors, credibility within the community, and a place for discipleship to flourish.
Your support today can help make this possible. Will you join us in this mission?
Together, we can ensure that these churches are more than temporary gatherings under trees. We can help provide them with a lasting home for worship, discipleship, and community impact.

Out of District Missionaries
The Peninsular Florida District protocol establishes that our District will be a by-invitation-only District. Out of district missionaries should not be contacting our Pen Florida District churches unless they have an existing relationship with the church and pastor. Any non Pen Florida missionary coming to our District for a service with a previous relationship pastor should contact the District World Missions Director prior to entering the state. Out of district missionaries should not contact additional churches for their time in Florida.
Non Pen Florida missionary coming to our District for a service with a previous relationship pastor are also required to submit to the District 5% of their offering.
Every winter, out of district missionaries, contact our district churches, attempting to schedule services. There are two very good reasons for this. First, Pen Florida is the nation’s number one missions giving District. Secondly, who wouldn’t like to visit Florida in the winter! This massive wave of out of district missionaries can fill up churches’ calendars, leaving little room for our own District missionaries.
Pen Florida makes a commitment to the Assemblies of God World Missions to fund every approved missionary in our district. This funding comes through our local churches. Thus we have adopted the policy of funding our own missionaries first.
PenFlorida Missionaries
It is an honor to serve our Pen Florida World Missionaries. Every missionary is asked to keep the lines of communication open with the District World Missions Director. This should include:
Furlough dates reported 9-12 months in advance. Those who fail to notify the District 9-12 months in advance risk missing the District booking services for them.
Newsletters at least 4 times a year (tommanning@clcftl.org)
Status Changes imediately
Each itinerating missionary should mail their monthly District Itineration report to the District World Missions Director at:
